We’re thrilled to welcome Theo Gibbs to the lab!
Theo is a Schmidt Science Fellow with a deep interest in how pathogen resistance emerges from ecological interactions within the microbiome.
Theo previously earned his B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and worked with James O’Dwyer during a gap year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He recently earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University.
His dissertation work blended mathematical theory with experimental ecology in annual plants to investigate how higher-order interactions—those involving three or more species—can maintain species coexistence in diverse ecological communities.
Also, a huge congratulations to Theo on being named a Schmidt Science Fellow!
