We’re excited to welcome Michael to the lab as a new postdoc! He brings expertise in single-cell genomics, coexpression networks, and cross-species data integration.
Michael earned his B.A. in Biology from Rice University and his Ph.D. from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where he focused on how gene modules are co-opted by cell types to drive the emergence of new phenotypes across species, and how we can identify this co-option with computational analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA-seq data.
At lab, Michael will focus on exploring NLR interactions using coexpression networks and single-cell data and investigate NLR module evolution across plant species. Welcome aboard!
